Miniature Pony/Donkey Protective Hoof Boot in Almonte, Ontario for sale

Here is a handy little tip that may solve some of your problems for mini's. For anyone with a miniature donkey or pony you may find it hard to find a protective hoof boot due to the small size. We have come up with the following for those that may be in need of this item. Purchase a child's winter boot (our donkey needed a size 6 boot as his foot measured 2.5" x 2 3/4" ) with a good tread on the sole and cut it out to fit the measurement of your mini's hoof. Measure your mini's hoof to see what size works for them. Cut so you can tape it to the hoof and not just the boot. The toe part of the boot fits perfect over the tip of the hoof. We had difficulty finding a boot small enough and came up with this. Works great. Always good to pass along some info that might help somebody else.
